Question for hipsters

Description

I myself am an avid worshipper of Che Guevara. I consider him to be the greatest thing that's happened to this world. But that aside, my question is for those who are not even the least bit anti-capitalist and/or have never even heard this Argentine revolutionary's name before:

Why wear them if you don't know a whole lot about him? Or if you aren't any of these groups mentioned in the stamp? Do you wear these shirts just because your friends wear them? Do you just think it looks "badass?" What's your reason for buying these shirts?

I'm not against the existence of these T-shirts or whatnot, but sometimes I wonder what the actual Che Guevara would think about them. I wouldn't mind having one of those T-shirts, but I personally prefer to have one for free. :meow:

"I don't want people to use my father's face unthinkingly. I don't like to see him stitched on the backside of a pair of mass-produced jeans. But look at the people who wear Che T-shirts. They tend to be those who don't conform, who want more from society, who are wondering if they can be better human beings. That, I think he would have liked."

It happens a lot in my country (Chile). Nowadays, most of self-called "leftist" (or "progressist") claims to support him, other leftist historical people and some historical facts but actually they're just a bunch of sold to capitalism bourgeois (mostly if they are behind political movements or have some power) living as rich as the right-wing 5% of Chilean population who owns more than the 80% of the wealth, and the 95% of them never read any marxist book so they know nothing about their supposed known ideology; I only see and hear them repeating prefabricated slogans like parrots.

There are almost no leftist with ideas in this country today, only zombies sold to nowadays' capitalism (which is not the same "laissez faire" capitalism from ancient times) and "useful fools" for the political groups which supposedly will "make a change" in people's lives but actually they do nothing and the social system keeps on going the same way or worse (only for the profit of the very rich minorities from both political colors).

That's why I don't support any political movement of my own country, neither right-wing nor left-wing. I only admire and support individual people with ideas and argumentation, despite the fact if I agree or not with their opinions. At least in the past it happened widely. :)
