As people often know, I'm ethnically Chinese (and I'm also ethnically Polish too) and I notice a lot of misinformation about Chairman Mao Zedong. Mostly negative misinformation done out purely pro-Western political propaganda.

The reason why many of the anti-Mao propaganda is so prevalent in the West is because of Western reliance on middle to upper class expats from Mainland China who people tend to mistake as the majority of the Chinese people while forgetting that the population of China is MUCH huger than not.

I've even spoken to my friend from Wuhan is also Chinese like me and she gave a more down-to-earth analysis of the situation of China under Mao Zedong. Whether or not she is a Maoist is of no importance, but I can assure you that her analysis was more trustworthy than the Western garbage you often see. It really doesn't take a supporter of Mao Zedong thought to understand what China was like under Chairman Mao because anyone with basic knowledge would know that China under Chang Kai-Shek was nothing more than a shithole that was in some way backed by the West. There is some truth into what is said about what happened in China under Mao especially with the Great Leap forward, but much of the statistics are overblown.
